Recent Traffic Management Projects

Traffic Management Aotearoa has delivered Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and on-site Traffic Control across a wide range of projects in Wellington, Auckland, and throughout New Zealand. Below is a selection of our recent work.

Wellington CBD Waterfront Pipe Renewal — Traffic Management Plan, 2024: Designed a comprehensive TMP for a major utility upgrade along the Wellington waterfront. Scope included lane closures on Customhouse Quay, pedestrian diversions, and night-shift management. Duration: 6 weeks.

Auckland Motorway On-Ramp Upgrades — Traffic Control & TMP, 2024: Provided full TTM services for lane-narrowing and signage works on three SH1 on-ramps in South Auckland. Coordinated with NZTA and contractor teams to maintain motorway throughput during peak hours.

Hutt Valley Road Widening — TMP Design, 2023: Developed a staged TMP for a 2km road widening project in Lower Hutt. Included traffic signal sequencing changes, temporary bus stop relocation, and protected pedestrian crossings throughout the construction corridor.

Wellington Anniversary Day Parade — Event TMP, 2024: Managed all traffic and pedestrian safety for the Wellington CBD Parade. Coordinated road closures across 12 city blocks, temporary no-parking zones, and public transport detours in partnership with Greater Wellington Regional Council.
